we are not adrift

We are not adrift.

there is a deeper current,

a holy stillness beneath the waves.

Even when anxiety roars and future fears try to breach the walls...

we are held

not by our strength,

not by any certainty,

but by the

unshakable

watch care of God.

The One who notices the smallest sigh, and watches over your every breath.

As the ocean laps against the shore,

we are invited to breathe in the presence of the Spirit—

deeply...

slowly...

There's no struggle to be embraced.

We already are.

Jesus says...

I leave the gift of peace

with you

My peace

not the kind of fragile peace given by the world,

but My perfect peace

don't yield to fear

or be troubled

in your heart

John 14:27

So let the waves remind you:

God is not far off.

He is here,

inhabiting this very moment.

And in Him,

you are safe,

soothed,

and seen.

Take another deep breath...

Exhale...

You are in His hands.

He is watching over you.

Watch Care Lyrics

Father of every soul

we

are under Your watch care

nothing can shake us loose

from Your holy grip

no anxiety can have us

when we are held

securely in Your hands

no dark lurking future fear

can ransack

our present moment

while You inhabit it

even when storms are stirring up

towering clouds are stacking up

lightning sparking up

darkness emerging

and high tides surging

underneath it all

in You

we are still

and steady

within

breathing Your Spirit in

settling

settling

nerves unjangling

thoughts and fears untangling

respiration smoothing

entire soul

soothing

this our destination

our hearts

Your habitation

I love to hear spoken word and this was beautifully written and well spoken. As a poetry writer, I really appreciate how rhyme can have the cadence that almost feels lyrical. It felt good to escape from my life circumstances and watch the ocean and hear those words spoken over me. Thank you!

Immense gratitude to Mark and Miriam Volle for Creative Partnering and Profound Support.

We offer all we create to Jesus—for His purposes.

We dedicate our ministry to our parents, who were our dearest friends and encouragers:

Al and Lorraine Karpiak, Bob and Pat Ferguson. And to our niece, Carolyn.

Carolyn is one of the most loving and courageous people you'll ever meet. She's been battling chronic illness for decades. Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Chemical Sensitivity, Chronic Intractable Migraine, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. POTS, Chiari Malformation and other debilitating conditions. There's an urgent need  for more doctors who are aware and trained to treat these conditions.
